words

There are so many things I want to say about this past weekend , but I just haven't figured what to write yet....so I will soon. hm., I know I've pretty much complained about the packing in the past couple of weeks, but really it isn't all that bad. For instance, today, my creative side decided to finally put together the the clock I made back in grade 10. It's too bad I only put it together now. This piece could have enjoyed it's life being useful for the past 6 years, rather than just sitting there looking pretty. Oh well, at least now it will be useful! hopefully it will tell the correct time.

Struggling to Concentrate

Yes, I can agree with you that the title of today's post would be more fitting if I was in school and I was 'struggling' with academic concentration. However, I believe I sadly cannot concentrate now that I have nothing to do. Well, correction I do. Only, I don't want to it. Packing is a tiresome, ungrateful job at times. Attempting to pack up the house I lived in for the past 8 years in a months time is overwhelming. At the end of the day, the house still looks well...CLUTTERED. Boxes are filled, but with what? Clutter? Why are we people such clutter lovers? Everything seems sentimental when you try to pack!

Aside from my difficulties in packing, I've come the realization that I may actually have a slight problem with e-mail checking. There must be something wrong with you when you're checking e-mail every hour on the hour. Evidently, the worse part is, with such frequent checking of e-mail, I don't often receive anything in the inbox. So. If you're out there & reading this..Please brighten up my day and send an e-mail my way. That way, the e-mail checking won't be in vain. Plus, you have the added bonus of me replying right away (due to the constant, addictive e-mail checking). So with that I'm off. Time to go hrm check my e-mail??

Fulfilling day in Downtown

It's currently 5pm, but I was out of the house since 7:30 am. The day has been so long that it feels like yesterday, when I had breakfast downtown at 9am, walked all along queen street west with becky, bought earrings @ Le Chateau, met up with Cindy for lunch at Izmi Sushi, and went bead shopping with Cynthia & Dor. There are so many nifty little stores & restaurants along queen street, an abundant amount.for there are many to explore, eat, and dine at.

alrite. I'm ready for another nap, before I go out for desserts.

oh London..how I miss you

Although I finished exams rather early on April 22nd, I count myself lucky as I had the opportunity to go back to london twice in the past 2 weeks. Going back for a weekend was awesome since I got to see everybody again. Our crazy sleepover was amazing as well as we all camped out in my large, empty room. Why we didn't have more sleepovers in my room when we were living there is unfortunate as I had so much space!! After saying goodbye to London on May 1st, I got to go back again for a day trip to see Our Lady Peace! *sigh* it was great spending time with friends, driving around London, seeing Pam & Rogers again, and going to the concert. Hopefully I won't miss London too much in the coming year.

These days have been slightly boring. I can't believe it's already Thursday! My only accomplishment so far has been putting together my Cuba scrapbook. But..tomorrow will be an exciting day. Becky & I are heading downtown for lunch with Cindy so that will be great!

okies..back to trying to find housing in Alberta..

the wait is over

On Thursday afternoon, I was number 3 on the waiting list for Alberta. In a short period of time, I received a bit of news that has made me extremely happy. As of Friday afternoon, I have been offerred a spot for the Masters program at the University of Alberta. :) It's the same program as the one I got accepted to in Boston (Msc. in Speech-Language Pathology).

Isn't that such good news? I know I will be rather far from my parents, but Alberta is a great choice since it gives me the opportunity to relax for 4 months before school starts in the Fall. Plus, I don't have to take summer school, nor do I need to take chemistry to eventually write the certification exam, and over all I'll more feel more relaxed. It'll be cold in Alberta too once winter hits, but I'm just as excited to explore Edmonton :) God definitely answered the desires of my heart. Granted, Boston was also very exciting to me, but I personally wanted to spend a bit more time with my family, help my parents move and just rest my mind before I plunge head first into school again.

So, with nearly 4 months of summer in front of me I'm not quite sure what to do. I'm sure God will provide, just as he already has. Meanwhile, who wants to help me plan a bbq/pool party in June?
