lots of wet stuff falling from the sky

I dislike rain, I think i've come to that conclusion over time due to my many not so pleasant "adventures" in the rain. Okay, so I should clarify though..if the rain came down nice and gently for instance in a spring rain, then that's ok. However, if it comes down in torrents and it's cold AND windy..then, No thank you.

I totally understand rain has many benefits, but honestly it just gives me headaches, it makes me want to lie in bed all day, and it makes it really hard to see in the rain :)

anywayz..back to my readings. Going to finish this wee little bit about different approaches to evaluating health promo.

sidenote: had the funniest guest speaker for psych today. She was actually more interesting than our usual teacher!!

My "first"

randomness for today: I bought my first magazine! yup...can you believe it? I've never bought a magazine ever, and today I buy a LouLou for the trip home. thoughts about my "first", well, this mag is pretty cool..they have these really interesting tabs that you can stick onto the pages for things that "I want", "I need" or "I love". perhaps, after reading this magazine I'll finally have some idea of what to do with makeup. =) really, though..i find there is no need to even put it on. Why conform to societal thought of beauty? We're all beautiful already, we just need to believe that for ourselves and do not believe the lies that we have been accustomed to believing.

funny random things

• magic? or something else? my front door locks behind me!

It's been a while since we've had a working microwave...so lately, every once in awhile when we're in dire need of a hot lunch or dinner we go over to the "spa" (shirley, dren's and peggy's place) to heat up our stuff. That's what I did yesterday around 2pm. Went over, closed my door without locking it and went to heat my food up. Now, imagine my suprise when I went back home and found that I could not open the door! I thought..that perhaps, the door was stuck..but nope it was definately locked, and I was the only one home!! So, i had no choice, but to go back and interrupt the girls again and have my lunch there. around 3pm, cora came home and I was able to go back home. wierd things huh? But no...the mystery has now been solved. i'll let you know later

• The toilet's gonna overflow!!!

and..it almost happens again. Imagine this, all 3 of us who live upstairs around the toilet nervously wondering if it will overflow. It's happened before and each time, it hasn't been a pretty experience. Luckily, cora saved the day again! the toilet if you may ask, is now in good working order and hopefully will not flood all over the place and down into the basement like last year. =)

snow..already?

Lately, I feel like I've been working myself way too much...for some reason I have this incessant urge to continue doing my work..partly because for one of my classes I'm actually behind. No worries, though, I think I've pretty much caught up to it now. It's just that with such a busy schedule I find that I'm no longer at home anymore. Being hardly at home for dinner means, I don't eat dinner with my roomies anymore..which is something that I miss. Maybe its true what they say, that eventually everyone ends up having a different schedule, a different "time" they want to eat, different food. Yet, something in me says..No, that's not what I want. I want to continue being "family" and having our family dinners each and every single night. Idealistic? possibly.
