a little about paris

Well, it's already been a week since I got back from paris and all I can..is that it was amazing!
Telling every single detail about paris would be rather long here (so ask me when you see me later)..but for now here's just a tidbit of memorable moments in paris.
  • upon arriving in Paris I was rather suprised how hot it was (29 degrees) and the days are much longer (it doesn't get dark until 10ish)
  • almost went the wrong direction on the metro the first night (the paris metro system is awesome & confusing at the same time..there are over 13 metro lines..and about 2-3 main train lines!)
  • Paris has so many beautiful gardens ie. Jardin de Luxemburg.
  • Walked along Champs Elysees (the most expensive street in Paris where most of Paris' flagship stores are located, also $ restaurants)..AND ate at a world renowned and internatinally known restaurant. aka. Micky D's.
  • Lunch Cruise on the Seine River
  • the Basilica de Sacre-Coeur (so pretty, especially at night)
  • Eiffel Tower (breathtaking if you go right before the sun sets and stay there until it gets dark)
  • meeting up with friends in Paris
  • and on the way home..a man who was born and raised in Paris started talking to us in perfect Mandarin! (apparantly he learnt Mandarin in Beijing)
  • Lastly, almost got left in Paris with my cousin since my parents thought we had already boarded the plane, and as such went and took the shuttle to the plane. Only discovering that we weren't on the plane! Meanwhile we were back at the terminal waiting for them to show up so we could board the plane. funny huh?
okies..I will upload my pics soon. 'till then.
